Trio Jubilee will perform world music on local stage
By Jennifer McBride
Committed to bringing music from all over the world right to our front doors, the Los Gatos Community Concert Association welcomes Trio Jubilee to the stage on Jan. 22.

Trio Jubilee features Claudia Bloom on violin, Su Mi Park on piano and Thomas Shoebotham on cello. The group is known for its penchant for performing unusual and exotic works of chamber music from all over world--works most audiences have never heard.

The trio has chosen to open its program with a Mozart piano trio, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the legendary composer's birth this year. It will also include works by Astor Piazolla, known as an exceptional Argentinean tango composer. The program will conclude with a piano trio by Ravel from France.

The performance will take place at the Los Gatos United Methodist Church, 111 Church St., beginning at 2:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $20 for adults and $5 for students. For more information, call Ray Strong at 408.377.1106 or Lea Frey at 408.356.5698 or visit www.lgcca.org.
